 On September 12^th our club suffered a great loss, our cheer coach Kayla Rearden lost her life in a tragic car accident. Kayla was born on April 24, 1991 and grew up in Washington. Kayla had just graduated from Rainier High School and was preparing to leave for Eastern Washington University.  Even though she was with our club for a short time she created great relationships with the Lightning and Cyclones Cheerleaders.  Kayla had spent time working on a halftime routine for the squads and with help from Charlie our other cheer coach prepared a competition routine.  The Cheerleaders enjoyed working with her.  It’s sad when a young life is taken so soon.  We can only hope that her family, friends and young cheer students can remember the happy times.  In honor of Kayla our team will devote the rest of the football season to her.  Our club will except donations for Kayla's memorial fund or donations may be made in Kayla's name at Timberland Bank.  A donation box will be out during our practices at the Yelm High School soccer field Tuesdays through Thursday and at the South Sound Stadium  for Saturday games.  Kayla will be greatly missed. For those that would like to attend Kayla's service it is Saturday September 19th at the Woodlawn Funeral Home in Lacey at 12:00pm. The address is 5930 Mullen Rd Se Lacey, WA 98503.

RULES FOR PENNY WARS

The team with the most positive points at the end of the war wins.

By placing pennies or paper money in your jar, you earn points.

By placing all other forms of change in the other teams jars you can deduct their points.

Points will be awarded as follows:

Pennies = +1 point  / Nickels = -5 points  / Dimes = -10 points  / Quarters = -25 points  / Dollar = +100 points  / Five = +500 points /  Ten = 1,000 points  / Twenty = +2,000 points  / Fifty = +5,000 points  / Hundred = +10,000 points

The contest is over on October 8th the winner will be a nnounced at the following week practice. The winning team will get a pizza party after practice one evening. Cheerleaders will be placed on the team that they cheer for. Good luck everyone!

Make sure to come with all your gear and ready to play! Your head coach will inform you when to be at the field. If you are on the stadium field remember clear liquids only.

All player jerseys need to be paid for before their last name will be put on the jersey. Please see your team mom or Patti or Jennifer for this. If your jersey isn't paid for no last name will be put on the jersey.

We can order replica jerseys but must have a min. of 14 orders. Please see Patti or Jennifer for this the cost is $45.00. This is a perfect way to support your child while they are on the field. I still need 3 more jerseys at this time!

First I would like to say that all of the boys looked great last night! It looks like we will have an awesome season! Keep working hard and it will all pay off in the end!

Thank you to all the football moms that helped make the candy leis for the jamboree. They were a big hit!

And thank you, thank you, thank you to the moms that helped in the concession booth. Kelly Gormley and Theresa George volunteered their whole evening to help us. Everyone else that helped thank you also without your help and donations things would not have gone so well. I hope to see more volunteers out the next time we have a fundraiser.

Thanks to everyone that showed up to our car wash Saturday August 8th. It was a great success and all your hard work is appreciated! Just a reminder that if you haven't turned your car wash ticket money in please do so at Monday's practice. Game schedules should be handed out this week, so watch for that information.
